Qualifications
- Able to operate a computer to interact with onsite equipment and proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Electrical testing equipment knowledge (multimeter, IV Curve Tracer, TTR, insulation resistance etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record to operate company vehicles
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs
Responsibilities
- As a key member of our team, the Field Operations Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our solar and battery energy storage sites
- Reporting to the site lead, this position is responsible for performing field-level activities required to operate and maintain these facilities, working independently to troubleshoot and repair issues as needed
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair inverters, trackers, and other systems essential to healthy site operation
- Perform routine testing and repair of AC and DC electrical circuits for maximum site production
- Ensure site safety and security, identifying potential electrical hazards and utilizing proper LOTO procedures to safeguard the workspace
- Log and record all maintenance activities performed into a computerized maintenance management system, HEIS 2
- Accurately report and relay information to site lead and other supervision in a clear and concise manner
